Breeze Airways is moving quickly to expand service from Atlantic City International Airport (ACY). It announced a slate of new routes that will replace those left behind by Spirit Airlines’s shutdown.

Breeze will launch service to/from Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) and several popular leisure destinations with a phased rollout through the end of the year. Routes include:

  • Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) (2x weekly; starts on October 22nd)
  • Orlando International Airport (MCO) (up to 1x daily; starts on July 3rd)
  • Palm Beach International Airport (PBI) (3x weekly; starts on December 17th)
  • Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) (3x weekly; starts on October 22nd)

Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) was one of the markets most affected by Spirit’s exit with limited low-cost options remaining. Breeze’s expansion restores critical connectivity to high-demand leisure destinations (particularly in Florida and along the East Coast). The airline’s strategy focuses on underserved routes and point-to-point service. This makes it well-positioned to step into markets where capacity has suddenly disappeared.

Anthony’s Take: Like we saw with JetBlue earlier today, Breeze Airways is capitalizing on the opportunity created by Spirit’s shutdown to quickly add new routes from Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) to restore service and meet demand. With flights to Florida and coastal destinations, the airline is positioning itself as a key low-cost option for travelers in the region.
