Back in December 2024, I wrote about the deal with Bahia Principe-branded hotels and resorts. Now, these are finally integrated and Hyatt has further expanded its all-inclusive footprint. The move adds approximately 12,000 rooms across popular leisure destinations in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Jamaica, and Spain.

Hyatt Bahia Principe

World of Hyatt® members can now earn 5x base points per $1 spent at participating Bahia Principe resorts while also redeeming points for stays across the portfolio. Stays at these properties will count toward elite status and Milestone Rewards. Members can also access on-property elite benefits depending on their tier. For cardholders, the value proposition is even stronger. World of Hyatt Credit Card members can earn up to 9x total points per dollar spent on qualifying stays when combining base points with bonus earnings.

To celebrate the integration, Hyatt is offering a limited-time promotion that allows members to earn double points on qualifying stays. Travelers who register between now and May 30th can earn bonus points on stays completed between April 1st and June 30th. Registration is open here.

The addition of Bahia Principe marks another step in Hyatt’s push into the all-inclusive space (where it has been steadily growing its presence). Bahia Principe becomes the ninth brand within Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection. The brand itself is undergoing a broader refresh with updated positioning and a new brand architecture aimed at delivering more tailored experiences for different types of travelers.

This integration is part of a joint venture between Hyatt and Grupo Piñero, which manages Bahia Principe properties and owns the brand. By bringing Bahia Principe into the World of Hyatt ecosystem, the partnership expands Hyatt’s global distribution while maintaining the unique identity of each resort.

For travelers, the change means more flexibility and more options when planning all-inclusive vacations. From family-oriented resorts in Punta Cana to adults-only escapes in Spain’s Canary Islands, Hyatt members now have a broader range of destinations where they can earn rewards and redeem points.

Anthony’s Take: As competition intensifies in the all-inclusive market, Hyatt’s latest move strengthens its position while giving loyal customers more ways to turn everyday spending into beachfront stays.
