Lufthansa is adding to its distinctive 100th anniversary fleet with two additional aircraft repainted to celebrate. An Airbus A320neo and an Airbus A350-900 are now rolling out of paint shops in Norwich, England, and Châteauroux, France with the same commemorative design. These aircraft will join the repainted Boeing 787-9 that took to the skies last month.

The livery features a white crane whose wings blend into the aircraft’s own with a “100” incorporated along the left side of the fuselage and the dates “1926 | 2026” displayed on the right. A “100” mark also appears on the underside of the aircraft (clearly visible to spotters during takeoff and landing).
The Airbus A320neo is scheduled to arrive at Frankfurt Airport (FRA) today, January 19th, before entering regular service. Its first scheduled passenger flight will take travelers to Larnaca International Airport (LCA). The A350-900 is expected to arrive at Munich Airport (MUC) on February 3rd.
As mentioned above, the first aircraft to debut the design (a Boeing 787-9 nicknamed “Berlin” landed in Frankfurt on December 23rd. That jet is set to begin scheduled operations on January 20th with its inaugural flight to Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM). Lufthansa plans to use the special-livery aircraft as flying ambassadors for the airline’s centennial with routes spanning Europe, Asia, and beyond.
