Condor is preparing to expand its European footprint with a significant addition to its route network. Beginning in April 2026, the airline will launch 3x daily service between Frankfurt Airport (FRA) and London Gatwick Airport (LGW). This will mark the first time the British capital is included in Condor’s schedule.
The new connection brings one of Europe’s most influential business and cultural centers into reach for Condor customers. London remains a major global hub for finance and commerce and attracts business travelers year-round. At the same time, it consistently ranks among the continent’s most popular destinations for sightseeing, shopping, theater, and weekend leisure trips.
Peter Gerber, CEO of Condor, said:
With London Gatwick, we are adding another exciting metropolis to our city network, offering business travelers and city tourists even more options. The launch of this route is another clear signal of our growth in the European market.”
Jonathan Pollard, Chief Commercial Officer of London Gatwick added:
We’re delighted to welcome Condor to London Gatwick, providing an important gateway to Frankfurt for passengers across London and the South East. This is a key link between London and one of Europe’s most influential financial hubs, and with Frankfurt’s excellent cultural offering, Condor’s three flights daily flights will provide excellent connectivity for business and leisure passengers.”
Earlier this week, I wrote about Delta Air Lines pulling out of London Gatwick Airport (LGW). It’s the third US carrier to abandon the airport as flights to/from the US tend to center around London Heathrow Airport (LHR). It makes sense for Condor to pick up the airport as most flights are intra-Europe there.
Anthony’s Take: Condor lost its feeder flights from Lufthansa and needs to find ways to fill planes out of Frankfurt Airport (FRA). This route makes sense for business travelers as well as leisure travelers looking to connect onward from the German airport.
