I’ve flown United Airlines a ton lately. I requalified for Premier 1K® a little more than halfway through the year. In all of that flying, I have eaten just about every meal that United serves in domestic First Class. While the quality of the food has greatly improved, the menu does not change too often. Some days, I need something different and I look to United’s Bistro on Board for my meals. Today was one of those days and I taste tested United’s latest burger iteration that it’s calling the “Ultimate Cheeseburger.”
The Ultimate Cheeseburger is described as a “grilled beef patty with aged Cheddar cheese, American cheese, and tangy burger sauce.” I opted out of receiving the tray as I did not want the salad or the Magnolia Bakery dessert (I’m not loving the newest flavor).
The burger came wrapped up and was accompanied by a ketchup and mustard packet.
I unwrapped it and found that the cheese was nicely melted and the bun toasted. The flavors were great.
Anthony’s Take: While I prefer Delta’s Shake Shack collaboration (review here), this is a perfectly tasty in-flight burger and one that I will be ordering again.
