Greetings from Chicago! I’m staying local this weekend and that’s okay. I need to go to Dallas, Cincinnati, and Cleveland next week on business before heading down to Tampa and checking out the St. Regis Longboat Key Resort over Labor Day weekend. In travel news this week, Alaska and Hawaiian launched their combined loyalty program, Air Canada resumed flights, several airlines added new routes, and I reviewed some in-flight meals, a hotel in San Francisco, and a lounge with one of my favorite old-school designs.

This week, I taste tested one great and one vile meal on United, Alaska made tons of news with its new Atmos™ Rewards, and several airlines cut and added routes in airline news.

I reviewed the Grand Hyatt San Francisco, Hampton is looking for its next waffle flavor, and W got into the all-inclusive game this week in hotel news.

United Club SF F11 30

Lounges

American joined the grab-and-go lounge game, Air France reopened its Boston outpost, and I reviewed one of the United Clubs℠ at SFO this week in lounge news.

Milan Airport

A disgruntled passenger set fire to a check-in desk in Milan this week in travel news.
