Greetings from Great Exuma. This is my favorite island in the Bahamas and I’m happy to be here celebrating my mother-in-law’s 75th birthday this weekend along with my husband. This week in travel news saw United unveil its new Polaris® seats along with a protest staged at the event, the Park Hyatt is finally taking reservations in Johannesburg, BARK Air is a year old, and I review two hotels. I think this is the first week with no lounge news, but we’ll change that next week.

TAP Air Portugal

Airlines

United showed off its new Polaris® cabins while its flight attendants protested, American geared up for a buy summer, Southwest is looking outside of the US in some capacity, and much more happened in the aviation world this week.

Grand Hyatt SFO 49

Hotels

I reviewed the Hyatt Regency Dallas and Grand Hyatt at SFO (which I loved), Marriott brought on its newest brand, and Hyatt started planning its first Croatian hotel this week in hotel news.

Anthony’s Take: I hope that you enjoyed reading all the news, reviews, and travel-related items that caught my eye this week. Thanks for your continued support of The Bulkhead Seat.
