Senator John Fetterman is a United States Senator from Pennsylvania. Video surfaced today of him getting lectured by an American Airlines pilot over the usage and visibility of his seatbelt. Fetterman is seated in seat 1C on the regional aircraft that was flying from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) to Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT) back in February 2024.
Fetterman can be seen from behind wearing one of his signature sweatshirts while a pilot lectures him on using his seatbelt and the need for it to be visible. There isn’t an argument or tempers flaring here (although the pilot does sound a bit condescending).
Anthony’s Take: Seatbelts must be worn and visible while flying. I’m not sure what started this, but for one of the pilots to be involved I’d say that flight attendants must have repeatedly asked first.
