Delta Air Lines adjusted its schedule and added 14 new domestic routes this week including seven to/from Orlando International Airport (MCO). What’s notable is that these seven routes are connecting the theme park capital with non-hub cities.
Flights to Orlando International Airport (MCO)
Delta is adding seven non-hub routes to the US’ top domestic vacation destination. Routes all start on December 20th and run on Saturdays through April 11th. These include:
- John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH)
- Grand Rapids Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR)
- Indianapolis International Airport (IND)
- Kansas City International Airport (MCI)
- Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF)
- Nashville International Airport (BNA)
- Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT)
Other New Daily Routes
In addition to the seven routes to/from Orlando International Airport (MCO), Delta is also launching four daily routes on September 8th. These include:
- Little Rock’s Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport (LIT) to/from Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC)
- Westchester County Airport (HPN) to/from Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP)
- New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to/from Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)
- New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to/from Memphis International Airport (MEM)
- New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to/from St. Louis Lambert International Airport (STL)
Other Seasonal Routes
Delta’s two new seasonal routes will begin on November 8th and November 6th, respectively. These include:
- Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) to/from Palm Springs International Airport (PSP)
- New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) to/from Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP)
Anthony’s Take: Delta is definitely looking to drive folks to the House of Mouse this winter. They’re looking to challenge some of the routes that Southwest and Spirit currently fly. It’s also interesting to note the growth in NYC and Delta continuing to add to its Austin focus city.
