I’m a sucker for fun aircraft liveries. Whether they’re highlighting an airline’s legacy and past designs or are part of a promo for Disneyland or Star Wars, I always enjoy seeing the planes all dolled up. One of the most fun and unique liveries currently roaming the world belongs to German leisure airline, Condor. You’ve likely seen it’s bright, striped aircraft and if you haven’t you’ll look for them now. The airline is currently running a giveaway that offers passengers the opportunity to win a €10 voucher to use on your flight when they wear a shirt that matches the livery.
Condor unveiled its current livery in April 2022. To celebrate, it launched the “Match the Stripes” campaign for those passengers who fly in attire that matches the plane. Through April 30th, those deemed to match the plane will receive a €10 voucher that must be redeemed in flight for food, drinks, or duty-free purchases.
Condor chose five distinct colors for its livery stripes: Island (green), Sunshine (yellow), Sea (blue), Passion (red), and Beach (beige). In 2024, Condor also added a pink stripe for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
How to Receive a Voucher
If your top matches the color of the Condor aircraft, the crew will address you personally during the drinks service. Eligible tops include shirts, blouses, T-shirts, dresses, or jackets. Trousers, skirts, scarves, handkerchiefs, or hats are not considered. In the case of a green and white striped airplane, only tops that are also green and white striped are valid. Flights with a flight time of less than 90 minutes and flights to/from Rome are excluded.
How to Redeem Your Prize
Your €10 prize can be used for your favorite drink or snack from the Skyline Café. You can also have the €10 credited towards a purchase in the Bordshop There is no minimum purchase, but unused credit will be forfeited at the end of the flight.
Condor is Also Giving Winners Free Photo Postcards
Winners will also receive a voucher code from the crew on board, which can be used to send a personal “Match the Stripes” moment to passengers’ loved ones as a photo postcard. Your favorite photo can be used along with a message to design a postcard in the MyPostcard app.
Condor has repainted its entire fleet of Airbus A320-200, Airbus A321-200, Airbus A300neo, and Boeing 757-300 aircraft with the new striped livery. Passengers can check the scheduled flight number and aircraft ID for their flight here. FlightRadar24 also provides information on which aircraft is planned for each flight. Passengers can search which color is associated with the aircraft ID here. Aircrafts can be swapped for operational reasons and Condor will not be held accountable if there are changes.
Anthony’s Take: I love this giveaway, but would never win unless an airline had its aircraft painted solid black (as this is what almost every t-shirt, shirt, and sweater of mine is colored).
