Delta Air Lines runs its regional operations through several carriers that operate as Delta Connection. Endeavor Air will fly the two new routes while SkyWest is dropping one it currently flies. Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) will see the loss of a route that many said Delta was using as a placeholder to keep its gates at the airport. It’s likely using the slot for some of the new routes it recently added like its new service to Cancún International Airport (CUN) that was announced this week.
Delta Air Lines adds 2 routes:
• New York (LGA) to Panama City, FL (ECP) 1x weekly starting June 14 with CRJ-900
• Detroit (DTW) to Bangor (BGR) 1x weekly starting June 14 with CRJ-9001 route canceled:

Endeavor Air will operate as Delta Connection using Bombardier CRJ-900 aircraft with 12 First Class, 20 Comfort+®, and 38 Main Cabin seats. New routes include:
- Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) to/from Bangor International Airport (BGR) (1x to 2x weekly; starts on July 3rd)
- New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) to/from Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport (ECP) (1x weekly; starts on June 14th)
SkyWest will cease flights between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Harlingen’s Valley International Airport (HRL). These daily flights end on June 7th.
Anthony’s Take: The two additions are summer seasonal and nothing too exciting. My eyes are on what Delta is doing at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) as it continues to build a presence there and is doing what many predicted and jettisoning the intra-state flights it was offering for more interesting routes.
