Back in December 2023, I wrote about how Delta Air Lines was beginning to pay attention to Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS). This continued last year as American Airlines retreated and cancelled routes.  The airport is continuing to be a focus city for Delta (some might even say a mini-hub) as it continues to grow with the addition of Cancún International Airport (CUN).

Delta will begin to fly nonstop between Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) and Cancún International Airport (CUN) next winter with no other details around frequency or start date. American Airlines and Southwest currently fly this route daily.

Anthony’s Take: Delta continues to invest in its mini-Texas hub and Austin is shaping up nicely.
