It looks like Marriott Bonvoy® is gearing up to roll out its first global promotion for 2025. This one (like in the past few years) should offer 1,000 Marriott Bonvoy® points per night and double elite qualifying nights on paid stays between February 13th and April 29th.

Last year, the promo dates were between February 13th and April 15th. This one will be two weeks longer if the rumor is accurate. There were no limits to how many points and bonus nights could be earned (aside from the dates of the promotional period) last year and it looks like this will be the same.

Like other Marriott Bonvoy® promos it looks like this one will be for paid stays only and award nights will not count. Bonus nights do count towards lifetime status, so if you’re going for that this can be helpful.

Anthony’s Take: This is great news. My 2025 plan is to lock in my Titanium status as early as possible and then focus on Hyatt and maybe Hilton. I’m already at 47 nights toward requalifying with Marriott and this will help push that over. Work travel has me in lots of Marriott properties and the spend has been high. If this keeps up, I might even hit Ambassador again.

I’ve been Titanium and Platinum before and in fact just hit Lifetime Platinum today (yay!?). Do you see any notable benefits from Titanium versus Platinum? I see Marriott as having become increasingly antagonistic to engaged loyalty members which makes me want to avoid them but I’d like to hear what you have to say on the matter so I’m not in an echo chamber.

Congrats on the Lifetime Platinum. I made that when SPG and Marriott merged, but was just short of Lifetime Titanium, which is no longer offered. I was Ambassador for years and found little difference between that and Titanium. I do find that Titanium gets more upgrades than Platinum.
