Last month, I wrote about the New York Hilton Midtown’s cool Wicked-inspired suite. The highly anticipated movie will hit theaters on November 22nd. The New York Hilton Midtown and Universal Pictures are inviting guests to “Stay Like” Wicked with a suite that brings the magic of Oz to life and availability has now been extended until January 26th.
Guests can immerse themselves in the world of Oz between November 21st and January 26th. Emerald City-inspired wallpaper and a custom-designed door kick off the experience. A custom entry leads to a sophisticated living area that is styled after the Wizard’s Throne Room and the art deco aesthetic of the Land of Oz including a cozy bar and gilded green accents throughout.
The suite’s bedroom features fantastical décor in shades of pink and green that is inspired by the film’s central characters, Elphaba and Glinda. The room is split between these two characters. Elphaba’s side takes cues from Shiz University’s enchanted forest with tree branches twisting around the headboard of one of the beds and piles of enchantment books. Glinda’s side is a pink wonderland with custom wallpaper featuring a design straight from the movie and a cherry blossom tree canopy over a Hilton Serenity mattress.
Throughout their stay, guests will enjoy magical surprises in the spirit of the film. These include a hidden beverage bar inspired by the Wizard’s Throne Room and Shiz University where guests can enjoy a bespoke in-room happy hour (complete with signature green and pink cocktails inspired by Elphaba and Glinda). Mornings will start with a special delivery from a mystical floating balloon filled with breakfast pastries and other treats. The 625-square-foot suite includes access to the hotel’s Executive Lounge for additional snacks and beverages.
Guests will remember the magic of the suite during and after their stay with Wicked takeaways including a backpack from the Wicked x Béis luggage collection, Wicked-inspired Beekman 1802 pampering products, OPI x Wicked nail polish collection, and premium Hilton products. Fandango Movie Tickets will also be included to see the film on the big screen.
The suite is currently bookable here. It requires a two-night minimum stay and is currently running between $1,300 and $2,100 per night plus taxes and fees.
Anthony’s Take: If you’re looking for a once-in-a-lifetime experience, are a huge Wicked fan, and have the cash, this experience is sure to create lasting memories.
