SWISS recently announced that Business Class passengers on short- and medium-haul flights will now be able to “Pre-Select” their meals on flights departing after 10:00 AM. These meals will be hot or cold depending on the flight length and the menu will rotate every three months.

SWISS Pre-Order

The ability to pre-order meals was introduced on long-haul flights 2.5 years ago. On flights over one hour departing and arriving to Zurich Airport (ZRH), passengers will be able to choose the meals they want in advance of the flight. Passengers can choose from six cold dishes (all served with cheese and a dessert) for short-haul flights. On medium-haul flights, seven hot main courses are on offer (including one dish from the “SWISS Taste of Switzerland” menu, which is otherwise only offered on long-haul services). These are served with a salad, cheese, and dessert. Current choices can be found here. SWISS passengers can order their preferred dishes online from six weeks up to 24 hours before a flight’s departure.

Anthony’s Take: The choices look good and I’m always impressed with what European airlines can serve on short flights. I love being able to select what I want in advance and not have to worry about getting the choice I want.
