After spending a few nights at The Domes Miramare, A Luxury Collection Resort, Corfu (review here), we spent one night at Nido, Mar-Bella Collection, which is about a three-minute drive from our first hotel. The property, service, and overall experience were all top notch and we wished we had booked this property for more nights.
Anthony’s Take: We were treated like VIPs from the moment we stepped foot on this property. The staff, grounds, and dining are all excellent. Our only complaint was that we only booked one night here. The property feels more boutique and personalized (I preferred it over The Domes Miramare).
Booking
I booked a Junior Suite with Hilton Honors points. The rate was €424 for the night if I was going to pay cash. The property is part of Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) and a recent addition to Hilton’s offerings. Point redemptions vary wildly here with rates ranging from 80,000 points through 413,000 points.
Transportation to/from the Hotel
We drove from The Domes Miramare, A Luxury Collection Resort, Corfu to the hotel. It took around three minutes to drive the mile between hotels.
Location
The hotel is located within walking distance of a few restaurants. You will need a car or to book a taxi to get to Old Town and other attractions in Corfu. Parking is free, but the lot is rather small.
Check-in
We arrived around 3:00 PM and our suite was ready. The manager and several employees met us in the parking lot. We were escorted into the beautiful lobby and asked to have a seat for check-in.
A trio of drinks was brought over for each of us. These included water, Champagne, and a mixed fruit juice drink. Our passports were scanned and a credit card was taken for incidentals. The manager came over and told us more about the hotel before having one of her colleagues take us to our suite in a golf cart. Our Junior Suite was upgraded to a Deluxe Junior Suite Whirlpool. We were also told that we would receive the full buffet breakfast every morning. These are great benefits for holding Gold status with Hilton.
The lobby is spacious with a bar and tons of seating.
The interior space is bright and comfortable.
There were never more than a few people in the lobby during our stay.
Outside there is another seating area.
Our suite was at the very top of the hill that the resort occupies. It’s great that there are golf carts as the walk is pretty long (especially when it’s 95 degrees outside). The grounds are beautifully manicured and lushly planted.
Everywhere you turn you’ll find plants.
Many of the suites have their own pools.
Once at the top, we had to walk down an outdoor path to our suite.
Deluxe Junior Suite Whirlpool (302)
The Nido, Mar-Bella Collection has 70 suites. This hotel is adults only and feels quite romantic.
The bathroom is located upon entry to the suite. It has a vanity with a single sink, glassed-in shower, and toilet.
There was Gilchrist & Soames Body Lotion and Liquid Soap mounted near the sink.
There were other amenities near the sink.
The shower was spacious. Water pressure and temperature were both good.
More toiletries were mounted to the wall in the shower. No bar soap was provided.
The toilet was housed in a separate room.
A wardrobe was across from the bathroom. It held a safe, slippers, and robes.
There was also a refrigerator, blowdryer, steamer, and mosquito repellant inside the second doors.
The refrigerator had drinks for sale and plenty of space for guest use.
A large mirror was next to the wardrobe.
A desk was next to the mirror.
It held a Nespresso machine, coffee, water, condiments, and a welcome amenity. A TV is mounted above the desk.
The welcome amenity consisted of a bottle of wine and some sweets.
A king-sized bed was across from the TV with nightstands on both sides.
A small couch and table were next to the bed.
A chair was near the windows as well.
The best part of the suite was the massive balcony with stunning views.
There were two lounge chairs on the balcony.
A jacuzzi was located behind the lounge chairs.
There was also a table and some chairs outside.
Breakfast
As mentioned above, the breakfast included in the redemption provided us the full buffet. It was a large buffet with tons of choices including pastries, fruit, cereal, Greek yogurt, hot dishes, and much more. Everything was fresh and presented beautifully presented. In addition to the buffet, a la carte dishes could also be ordered at no additional charge.
There were tons of condiments, honey, and yogurt.
You’ll find just about every type of condiment and spread here.
There were several types of Greek yogurt available.
Sparkling rosé and Champagne were also available.

We also had a buffet dinner the night we stayed at the hotel. It was one of the best buffets I have had in years. Tons of high quality ingredients and well-prepared dishes.
There are also dishes that can be ordered off of a menu.
We shared the Lamb and it was delicious.
There was a nice charcuterie assortment as well as some condiments.

The restaurant was nice and not too crowded.
We sat outside, which was lovely at sunset.
We ordered an Aperol Spritz and a glass of wine with dinner. There is a full cocktail menu and wine list.
Public Areas & Amenities
The hotel offers the lobby seating above, a spa, an infinity pool, a beach, fitness center, and three restaurants. We spent most of our time at the pool and did not try out the beach.
The infinity pool is huge and was empty during our visit.
The views are impressive.
There was tons of seating near the pool.
There were virtually no people at the pool.
The pool has a dedicated bar.
You can see the other restaurant from the pool.
This restaurant is only open on Thursdays and serves Greek festival food.
A business center was found in the lobby.
The fitness center and spa are housed together.
The spa was closed when we went to check it out, but the fitness center was open.
There is a decent amount of equipment.
Towels and water were provided.
The building also houses men’s and women’s locker rooms.
These each had a shower, sink, and toilet.
Overall Impression:
The hotel has lovely grounds and a great buffet for both breakfast and dinner. Service is excellent and I loved the quiet, beautiful grounds. I’d definitely return here on a future trip.
