A passenger on an American Airlines flight from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) had a rather interesting reason as to why he should be able to take a seat in the bulkhead row. He felt that because US citizenship entitled him to select whatever seat he wanted. He refused to move and the police had to be called to remove him from the aircraft.

The man becomes irate when the seat’s rightful occupant arrives. A flight attendant tries to calm him, then says he needs to leave, and finally informs him that the police were called. His reply, “I’m a citizen of the United States. Okay. Get the police here. Take me to jail.”

The entire plane had to get off of the aircraft. Police arrived and to avoid a physical altercation they removed the passenger in a wheelchair. The flight was delayed by 45 minutes and it’s unclear what happened to the man (it was confirmed that he was shockingly not arrested). I wonder if American Airlines has banned him.

Anthony’s Take: I’ve said it before, I will never understand why people feel so entitled to act foolish and inconvenience an entire plane filled with people. It’s good that this passenger was removed. He should have been arrested and added to the “No Fly” list.
