New Pacific Airlines is the rebrand of another recent carrier, Northern Pacific Airlines. I’ve written about them before (here and here) with flights operated between Ontario International Airport (ONT) and Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS), Nashville International Airport (BNA), and Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO). The airline has already dropped Las Vegas in October 2023 and now Reno is being chopped. This leaves service between Ontario and Nashville as the carrier’s sole route.
New Pacific Airlines is canceling flights to Reno (RNO) effective immediately.
The airline's Ontario (ONT) to Reno (RNO) route has been removed from sale and its website.

When it launched, the airline wanted to fly to Asia from Anchorage’s Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC). It planned to serve Osaka, Tokyo, and Seoul. This never materialized and it started flying to leisure destinations in the United States from Ontario International Airport (ONT). As @IshrionA notes above, load factors were at 27% in November and December. It makes sense to drop an underperforming route, but how will the carrier survive with just one flight?
Anthony’s Take: An airline cannot survive with one route. I’m curious to see if other routes launch, the airline pivots to a different strategy, or what happens next.
