A woman apparently missed her flight earlier this week at Canberra Airport (CBR) in Australia. Normally, a passenger would accept their fate and be rebooked on a later flight. This passenger was having none of that and ran past airport officials and out onto the tarmac to try to flag down the captain and make the departing flight.
An woman who apparently missed her flight tried to catch it by running after the QantasLink Embraer E190AR plane (VH-XVO) on the tarmac.
The strange incident was captured at Canberra Airport (CBR) on Nov 01, 2023. On chase, woman started waving at the pilot.

The unidentified woman ran after the plane trying to get the pilots’ attention as if she were hailing a taxi. The Australian Federal Police arrested her and she now faces charges including two counts of damaging property, one count of entering a security zone without permission, and one count of possessing a small quantity of cannabis. She’s scheduled to appear in court today.

Facebook user, Simon Hales, witnessed the incident and posted his first-hand account of the event. Perhaps, the most interesting part of this story is that the woman was not even booked on the flight. It has still not been revealed how she managed to break through and spend so much time near the aircraft before being detained.
Anthony’s Take: This is not a good idea. If you miss a flight, find alternate travel plans and do not storm the tarmac. Luckily, there were no further delays and nothing more serious happened to her while she was running amok.
