This month, I started something new. Well, new for The Bulkhead Seat at least. I began creating weekly recaps to encapsulate all of the news, reviews, offers, and more covered on this site. I’ve seen this done by many other blogs that I admire and thought that it was time that I joined the party. I was in Corfu (Greece) and Sarande (Albania) a week ago and had some fun in the sun. I’ve already started sharing flight, lounge, and hotel reviews and will have the rest the next week or so. Have a great weekend!

UA 321 1

Airlines

This week saw Delta offer bonus MQDs for car rentals and hotels, a JetBlue status match, an update on the Alaska/Hawaiian merger, a horrifying attack on an Air India flight attendant, my head-to-head review of Ryanair versus easyJet, and more.

Park Hyatt Sapporo

Hotels

A new Grand Hyatt is coming to Orlando, Japan is getting its fourth Park Hyatt, Marriott opened its 600th hotel in the Asia Pacific region, and Hyatt made another acquisition this week.

Goldair Lounge CFU 15

Lounges

Check out my review of the 1903 Lounge in Manchester and the Goldair Handling Lounge in Corfu. This was a light week for lounge news, but I share my thoughts in these full reviews.

Security

Destinations & Travel News

Perks for fans at the US Open from American Express, the TSA looks to break records again, passport stamps are going away in the EU, and peanut butter is considered a liquid at security checkpoints.

Bloody Head

Passengers Behaving Badly

A former NFL player urinated on another sleeping passenger, a passenger brought a gold-plated gun to Australia, and another left a bloody mess on an American plane, plus a couple attacked a wheelchair pusher at Miami International Airport (MIA) this week.

Anthony’s Take: I hope that you enjoyed reading all the news, reviews, and travel-related items that caught my eye this week. Thanks for your continued support of The Bulkhead Seat.
