Marriott’s Luxury Group is made up of some of my favorite brands. The eight in this portfolio include Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts, EDITION, The Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, The Luxury Collection, JW Marriott, and W Hotels. BLADE is an urban air mobility platform that connects passengers from Manhattan to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) with helicopters from a few locations in the city. This summer the two are partnering for an exclusive and very expensive partnership.

Now through September 2nd, eligible guests staying two or more nights in select suites at the St. Regis New York, JW Marriott Essex House New York, W New York – Union Square, The New York EDITION, The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad, and The Luxury Collection Hotel Manhattan Midtown will receive complimentary roundtrip BLADE airport helicopter transfers.

George Hammer, Global Head of Luxury Marketing, Marriott International, said:

Spanning the Luxury Group’s portfolio of brands, this collaboration with Blade advances our mission to provide guests with exceptional service and amenities through innovation and imagination. As summer travel season can be especially hectic, we’re excited to introduce this bespoke partnership that will streamline and enhance our guests’ journeys before even setting foot in our suites.”

Upon landing at the helipad at the BLADE Lounge East on East 34th Street or the BLADE Lounge West on West 30th Street, a luxury car service will chauffeur guests directly to their suites. I flew BLADE last year and loved the experience (full review here).

During the summer, the BLADE lounges will be transformed into seasonal pop-up activations with signature scents from EDITION and curated playlists from W Hotels. BLADE Lounge West will have a live JW Garden growing fresh garnishes for pre-flight refreshments throughout the summer. Seasonal and destination-based menus inspired by some of the portfolio’s hotels including EDITION, The Luxury Collection, St. Regis, The Ritz-Carlton, and W Hotels will be available today to Friday, July 5th and then every Thursday and Friday for the rest of summer between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM EST.

This package does not have pricing and you need to call. As the old adage goes, “if you have to ask, you can’t afford it.”

Anthony’s Take: BLADE is a great, luxe way to beat the traffic and get to and from the airport. I hope to fly it again soon. If you have the funds, these packages sound wonderful.
