Capital One has carved out a space in the premium airport lounge space thanks to its growing network of Capital One Lounges and its newer Capital One Landing concept, which blends the comfort of a lounge with the energy of a high-end restaurant. The latest of the latter is finally opening next week at New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and I can’t wait to check it out.
There are currently five Capital One Lounges (and one on the way) operating across the United States and one Capital One Landing. These include:
- Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT): Coming Soon
- Dallas Forth Worth International Airport (DFW): Terminal D, across from Gate D22 (review here)
- Denver International Airport (DEN): Concourse A, Near Gate 34, Mezzanine Level
- Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS): Concourse D, Level 2, Near Gate D50 (review here)
- New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK): Terminal 4, Near B Gates (review here)
- Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD): Main Terminal, Just Beyond TSA PreCheck® (review here)

The existing Capital One Landing location is at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport’s (DCA) Terminal 2 in the National Hall Near Concourse D (review here). It opened in November 2024. The Landing format represents a culinary-focused evolution designed for travelers who want something better than standard airport food, but may not have time for a full sit-down meal.

Like the original, the new Capital One Landing is built in partnership with acclaimed chef José Andrés and his team at the José Andrés Group. Spanning 12,500 square feet, the space is designed to feel less like a traditional airport lounge and more like a chef-driven dining destination travelers would be excited to visit even outside the airport environment.

Guests can expect a menu centered on Spanish-style tapas made with high-quality ingredients, including staples such as jamón and olive oil sourced directly from Spain.
Signature offerings include:
- Pan con tomate
- Croquetas
- Gambas al ajillo
The New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) menu also introduces new dishes created specifically for this location, such as:
- Patatas bravas
- Vegan chilaquiles
- Taco de chilorio
- Coconut sticky rice with mango

The beverage program blends Spanish classics with creative twists, featuring cocktails like:
- Perfect Gin & Tonic
- Ben Franklin’s Milk Punch
- Manhattan
- New York Sour
- Vieux Carre
Non-alcoholic options include drinks such as Fresa y Piña and Flamingo Shuttle.

While the food may rival restaurant quality, the experience is designed around the realities of travel. A 2,250-square-foot kitchen supports fast, made-to-order dining with Capital One promising food and drinks delivered in under 20 minutes. Guests are welcomed by a host and seated at tables, with flexible ordering options including:
- Tapas served directly from the bar
- QR code ordering for delivery to your seat
- Full drink service without the wait of a traditional restaurant
Capital One’s signature Daily Rituals add a memorable element through roaming carts offering special tableside experiences.
New rituals debuting in NYC include:
- Goat cheese-infused tomato cones
- Table side martini service
Returning favorites from the Washington DC location include:
- Caviar cones
- Gin and tonic carts
- Mimosa service
The flagship Landing features two distinct environments: a lively interior space and a light-filled terrace.
Design highlights include:
- Soaring ceilings and skylights
- Floor-to-ceiling windows
- Lush greenery
- Sweeping views of the Manhattan skyline
A bold 30-foot mural by New York-based artist Amrita Marino anchors the space visually and reinforces the location’s flagship status.
Travel-friendly amenities include:
- Integrated power at every seat
- Dedicated luggage storage nooks
- Fast Wi-Fi
- Private restrooms

Anthony’s Take: I can’t wait to get into this Capital One Landing. The one in DC is amazing and I am going to try to get in there next week while on business. This has been a long time coming, but it looks like it was worth the wait.
