While heading home from Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) today, I noticed that the new Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge is coming along nicely in Concourse D. This will be a new concept for American Express and the second lounge that the credit card issuer will operate in this airport. I first wrote about Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge back in July and am excited to see this space open next year.
Sidecar by The Centurion Lounge will introduce a new offering in airports where there are Centurion® Lounges by American Express. Eligible cardholders can grab a quick bite or drink before they board their flight in a space that is created just for travelers with limited time. The speakeasy-inspired lounges will be accessible within 90 minutes before a flight departs. Eligible cardmembers will still continue to have access to the Centurion Lounges. The first location will open next year. Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) is the first airport where American Express opened a lounge back in 2013 (review here). Sidecar won’t include amenities beyond restrooms as the focus will be instead on speed.
Anthony’s Take: It’s exciting to see this under construction. When complete, Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) will have a nice selection of lounges close together for departing passengers.
