Hyatt announced today that it’s bringing the Destination by Hyatt brand to Canada with Hotel X Toronto being the first property being added to its portfolio. In the last 10 years, Hyatt has quintupled its brand presence in Canada. This latest addition further strengthens that reach.

Hotel X Toronto Room

The Hotel X Toronto is located on the shores of Lake Ontario. It offers a tranquil retreat that’s just moments away from downtown Toronto. The property has 404 guest rooms and suites, a heated rooftop pool, the first Guerlain Spa in Canada, and an impressive 90,000-square-foot athletic club with tennis courts, squash courts, and fitness studios.

Other amenities include a cinema, an art gallery, beautifully landscaped gardens, multiple dining options, and 60,000 square feet of event space.

Hotel X Toronto Booking

The property is not yet bookable through World of Hyatt® for cash or award bookings. Once it is added to Hyatt’s booking engine, it will be classified as a Category 5 property. This means that standard rooms will require between 17,000 and 23,000 points per night.

The Destination by Hyatt brand is a collection of upscale, independent hotels and resorts around the world. Some of the properties are incredible and they all have a sense of place. I particularly liked the 7Pines Resort Sardinia – Destination by Hyatt (review here).

Anthony’s Take: This resort is a great addition to the World of Hyatt® portfolio. Being able to book rooms here for 17,000 to 23,000 points seems like a great deal.
