Flying home from Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) this week gave me the chance to taste test another dish in Delta’s current First Class lineup. I chose the Makhani Chicken Curry and was pretty pleased with my selection. This Indian dish is also known as Murgh Makhani and consists of chicken cooked in a spiced tomato and butter sauce.

The Makhani Chicken Curry is only available as a pre-order meal. Delta describes it as: having Basmati rice, garlic spinach, and red chili pepper.

The meal started with a choice of beverage and either Biscoff cookies or Cheez-Its. Those are odd choices before a meal and Delta really should get some mixed nuts. I had a ginger ale to drink.

The dish was pretty flavorful. Not as spicy as I would have liked it and a bit more sauce would have been appreciated, but it was a solid choice. A warm bread roll a slice of some sort of lemon mousse cake accompanied the entree on the tray.

The lemon dessert was very tasty and I quickly gobbled that down.

Anthony’s Take: While not my favorite recent meal, this was a respectable selection and one that I would order again. I like when there are options that I have not tasted and I’ll continue choosing them and reporting back.
