Sun Country Airlines is a low-cost carrier based in Minneapolis with focus cities in Dallas and Las Vegas. The airline flies to around 100 destinations in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. It has a heavy focus on Florida and will operate flights to 10 destinations in the Sunshine State this winter including a new route to Fort Myers’ Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW).

The airline will begin flying 2x to 4x weekly between Appleton International Airport (ATW) and Fort Myers’ Southwest Florida International Airport (RSW) between January 30th and April 13th. This is the first new route that Sun Country has added in more than a year.

Sun Country Airlines offers reclining seats, in-seat power (at most seats), in-flight entertainment, and complimentary non-alcoholic beverages. It also partners with many Minnesota and Midwest-based companies to feature their local products on its buy-on-board menu.

Anthony’s Take: I’ve never flown Sun Country, but have seen their planes parked at plenty of Florida airports. It’s great to see the independent carrier still carrying on and adding routes.
