Lisa Vanderpump might be best known as the star of the Bravo hit, Vanderpump Rules. I’ve never watched the show but know that it has a cult following and has been on the air for 10 seasons. In addition to reality TV, Lisa and her husband own several restaurants in West Hollywood and Las Vegas. The Vanderpump Cocktail Garden opened in Caesars Palace in March 2019 and has been consistently packed every time I have passed by. A new restaurant opened in the Paris Las Vegas in March 2022 and we got to try it on our last trip after finding a last-minute reservation. It’s located next door to The Bedford by Martha Stewart (my review here).
Anthony’s Take: I usually am not too into reality TV and pay little mind to the “celebrities” it has created, but this restaurant was surprisingly good. All of the food and cocktails we tasted were delicious and the decor and vibe was sultry and sexy. The Mini Monsieurs and Caviar Bites were standouts. I’ll look to try her other restaurants in the future.
Decor & Vibe
The restaurant is dark and sexy. This is a place you can bring a date and feel enveloped in a mood that is playful and inviting. We had a table in the back of the restaurant and I advise steering clear of the “patio” tables for the full effect as you feel like you’re caught between the restaurant and the walkway through the casino. The same advice applies to The Bedford by Martha Stewart next door. Crystal, velvet, and gold accents are everywhere. It’s over the top, but fun.
We were seated next to a red piano under some crystal fixtures in the back of the restaurant.
The bar feels Parisian, like you’re tucked away in Montmartre.
I liked the banquettes lining the back wall. Cozy and romantic!
There was lots of crystal and flowers throughout the dining room.
Food
The menu is playful and the presentation of many of the dishes was whimsical. We were dining with a friend and got to try several.
Caviar Bites came first. The potatoes were crispy and buttery. They complemented the caviar and crème fraîche well.
Next up, the Mini Monsieurs. These were so good. Cheesy, gooey, and delicious. I highly recommend. It was perfect to share for three people.
We also shared the Birdcage de Charcuterie. I loved the presentation here and every bite was delicious.
For entrees, I chose the Crispy Chicken Confit. These were no regular chicken fingers. They were juicy, crispy, and perfect.
My husband had Le Poisson. This was sea bass served in a lemon almandine butter sauce with spinach. He loved it.
Our friend ordered the Butter Prawns. They were served with fedelini noodles and crispy shallots. He also enjoyed his main.
We also ordered a side of Le Mac (French onion mac and cheese). This was the only miss as it was rather bland and nothing special.
Drinks
Vanderpump à Paris offers a huge list of cocktails as well as many wines by the glass and bottle. We ordered a glass of Ruinart Rosé, a Pump-Le-Mousse, and an Ooh La La-llipop. All of the cocktails were made well and tasted delicious.
Overall Impression:
Vanderpump à Paris is a great choice for a date, a dinner with friends, and a playful and sexy spot for cocktails and delicious food. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and I look forward to trying some of the other locations.
