One of the best parts about reaching Marriott Bonvoy® Platinum and Titanium status are the Choice Benefits offered after reaching 50 and 75 nights. Marriott gives members the ability to select these benefits until February 1st. If you’ve passed these thresholds, it’s time to make your choices.
What Are the 50-Night Annual Choice Benefits?
Those who stay 50 nights with Marriott are entitled to select an Annual Choice Benefit. These include:
- Nightly Upgrade Awards (five) to redeem for upgrades to select Premium Rooms or Standard Suites
- Save $1000 USD on your purchase of a bed from any Marriott Bonvoy® retail brands
- Gift Marriott Bonvoy® Silver Elite Status to a family member or friend
- Support Arne M. Sorenson Hospitality Fund by donating $100 USD to champion the next generation of diverse leaders in hospitality
- Support United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) by donating $100 USD for children’s aid worldwide.
- Support World Wildlife Fund (WWF) by donating $100 USD to their global conservation work.
- Add Elite Night Credits (five) to get you closer to higher Elite Status and enhanced benefits
What Are the 75-Night Annual Choice Benefits?
Those who cross 75 nights can choose from any of the benefits above or they may select one of these:
- One Free Night Award with a redemption value up to 40,000 Marriott Bonvoy® Points
- Gift Marriott Bonvoy® Gold Elite Status to a family member or friend
If no selections are made than Nightly Upgrade Awards (five) will automatically be chosen for you. Benefits can be selected here.
What Did I Choose?
In the past, I have always chosen Nightly Upgrade Awards for both the 50- and 75-night benefits. This past year, I had four that expired. Unlike World of Hyatt®, these are good for a single night (and not stays up to seven nights). They have become harder to use and I didn’t want to waste the benefit. I chose Nightly Upgrade Awards (five) when I hit Platinum and I chose One Free Night Award when I hit Titanium.
