Last year, I had never even heard of Arajet, but I first wrote about the low-cost airline and the flag carrier of the Dominican Republic in December. Its operations began in September 2022 with a flight to Colombia’s Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport (BAO). The carrier began flying to the United States this year with Miami International Airport (MIA), Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR), and San Juan’s Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (SJU) as current destinations. Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) will see 4x weekly flights beginning on November 20th and to/from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) 3x weekly starting on November 15th (I plan to be on the inaugural). A sixth US route was unveiled as Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB). Now, Arajet is offering a discount on fares across its network for travel between August 15th and March 15th (with December 19th to January 11th as blackout dates). The only catch is that two or more tickets must be booked to receive the discount.

Flights must be booked between today, July 21st and July 27th. The promo code “FAMILYFLY” must be used for the discount. This promotion applies to Smart, Comfort, and Extra fares and does not include taxes or airport fees. Seat availability is limited and final prices may vary depending on origin and travel dates. The promotional code “FAMILYFLY” applies to all destinations in the Arajet network. Tickets should be booked on the Arajet website.

Víctor Pacheco Méndez, CEO and Founder of Arajet, said:

At Arajet, we have always remained true to our promise of democratizing the skies of the region. We want more people to have the opportunity to travel, allowing families to explore new cultures and enjoy an exceptional flight experience with us. This promotion is our way of making that possible.”

Chicago to PUJ No Sale

I tried a few routes and the discounts varied. The Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to/from Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) roundtrip without the sale is above.

Here is the fare with the promo code.

Anthony’s Take: I’ll be taking the inaugural flight between Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and Punta Cana Airport (PUJ) in November. I’m excited to check out a new airline and the newly opened St. Regis there.
