Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is about to boost its reputation as one of the nation’s premier airport lounge hubs. Plaza Premium Group has announced plans to open two new lounges in Terminal D early next year. These will consist of a Plaza Premium Lounge and the first-ever Plaza Premium First Lounge in the United States (the only other one in North America opened at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) in November 2024). These additions will expand the airport’s already impressive lounge offerings and provide travelers with a greater range of premium experiences.

Plaza Premium Group already has a presence at the airport as the Plaza Premium Lounge in Terminal E opened in 2020. It marked the company’s first US lounge. The Terminal E space features Texas-inspired design, local and international cuisine, a full-service bar, Wi-Fi, and charging stations, but it’s tiny at only 1,400 square feet.

The additions to Terminal D will include:

  • Plaza Premium First Lounge: It’s expected to offer personalized service, elegant design, restaurant-style dining, and enhanced privacy. The lounge marks the debut of this premium concept in the American market. Access requirements have not been released.
  • Plaza Premium Lounge: Complementing the First experience, the new Plaza Premium Lounge in Terminal D will cater to a broader group of travelers. It promises amenities such as an open bar, buffet dining, workspaces, Wi-FI, and plenty of seating.

Capital One Lounge DFW

Terminal D at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) already offers more lounges than anywhere else in the United States. It features the Centurion® Lounge by American Express (review here), Capital One Lounge (review here), an upcoming Chase Sapphire Lounge, an American Airlines Flagship Lounge, an Admirals Club®, and The Club at DFW. Travelers with premium credit cards, such as those offering Priority Pass memberships, can expect to have access to the Plaza Premium Lounge. It’s impressive how many choices there will be.

Anthony’s Take: More details, including exact opening dates and access requirements, are expected to be announced soon. I can’t wait to check out the new lounges.
