The video begins with a female passenger and a male flight attendant (who is seated on a bench) arguing at an airport waiting for a shuttle. The passenger apparently wanted to sit there and the flight attendant refused. She took out her phone to record, he slapped it away, and the passenger’s husband got physical.

Is this how you train your #flightattendants to treat passengers when they ask if they can have a seat while waiting for a shuttle? pic.twitter.com/PmD9AFCDXL— Yolanda True💗👸🏽 (@lyddt) September 16, 2023
We see the passenger’s husband grab the flight attendant by the shirt and push him. Another male flight attendant shouts “get off him” and pulls them apart. The female passenger claims the flight attendant “knocked [the] phone to the ground” and also that her husband “did what he did” as if to justify it.
@lyddt posted the video. Here is her account:
I TRIED to get his attention to see if I could have a seat, he ignored me so I just sat down because clearly he was doing it on purpose. @AmericanAir.When I sat down I saw on his luggage his #American bag tag.
So I said to myself, oh an #AmericanAirlineflightattendant then his “husband” that was sitting next to me overheard what I said and started getting on my case. I told him that I wasn’t talking to him. I felt in my spirit that this was going downhill real fast.
So I took out my phone to record, to show #americanairlines how insensitive their employee/flight attendants are. Boy, was I correct!! The video will speak for itself. @americanair your employee knocked my phone to the ground and my husband did what he did.
He LATER said he was sick and had covid which is why he did what he did. Well he could have said that in the very beginning but instead he decided to be a #Ken. Now #BlackTwitter let’s make him famous for his very rude behavior. And @americanair do better!!!”
It’s funny that she’s trying to rally people to her side, calls the flight attendant a “Ken,” and even tries to get the man cancelled by calling on #BlackTwitter, thus bringing a racial element into the argument. Her post has homophobic undertones in her use of “husband.”
The flight attendant should not have smacked her phone, but he was also getting her out of his face. Her husband should have never grabbed the flight attendant and assaulted him. That escalation was uncalled for and to try to justify that because he’s an employee that he should have to take it is ludicrous.
Anthony’s Take: I don’t see much more happening with this story, but people need to learn to respect each other and keep their hands to themselves. It’s impossible to know if anything else transpired before the video, but the footage does not make the passenger or her husband look good even though she posted it.

Sad behavior by both individuals, but concerning the Flight Attendant would say he has COVID while in uniform (and presumably working) with no mask visible.
A grand jury should indìct the FA and the wife.
Needlees to say..Americans again..in an American airport. These ppl. are restless playing Karen and Ken.
When you see testimony of bystanders saying she called the FAs “f@ggots” just before she started filming, it’d make one wonder how much more was not shown in the video of Ms. “UnTrue” or missing from what appears to be a one-sided article.
When I’m a passenger, the last thing I’d want to do is sit after a long flight, but then again, I’m not out of shape needing to plant a heavy butt anywhere.
She is a passenger? Huh? No, You have an attitude! You had no right to record him! See you in court! Looks like an assault to me!
