United Airlines has added five new regional flights to its schedule. These all started just days ago on June 27th after service was shifted from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and will be operated by United Express partners Commuteair and Mesa Airlines.

Flights will be operated by Embraer ERJ-135 and ERJ-145 aircraft in Economy Class-only configurations with six Economy Plus seats and 31 to 44 Economy Class. New routes include:

  • Harrisburg International Airport (MDT) (2x daily)
  • Mobile Regional Airport (MOB) (2x daily)
  • Philadelphia International Airport (3x daily) (1x daily operated with an Embraer 175 by Mesa Airlines with 12 First Class, 12 Economy Plus, and 52 Economy Class seats)
  • State College Regional Airport (SCE) (2x daily)
  • Wilkes-Barre Scranton International Airport (AVP) (2x daily)

Anthony’s Take: This is more a shuffle than fully new routes as these were previously served out of Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). I hate the Embraer ERJ-135 and ERJ-145 aircraft and wouldn’t want to fly them even on these short routes.
