New Year’s Eve is coming up fast…as in it is two days away. If you have been procrastinating, hold a United Chase co-branded credit card, and live in or can get to NYC or Los Angeles, then United has plans for you.
New York City
Charlie Palmer Steak (135 West 42nd Street, New York, NY 10036) is hosting a NYE party. From the MileagePlus Exclusives site: “Charlie Palmer Steak is a modern American NYC steakhouse tapping into Times Square’s vibrant and dynamic energy, serving up bold flavors in big city style. Reflecting celebrated chef Charlie Palmer’s Progressive American cooking, seasonal menus showcase the region’s exceptional resources and highlight the craft of local distillers, brewers, and artisanal winemakers.”
Here are the details of what each Gold Ticket Experience includes:
- Cocktails, heavy hors d’oeuvres, and Champagne toast
- Live DJ
- Photo booth
- Gift bag
- New Year’s Eve themed party favors
- Taxes and gratuities included
The best part, these tickets cost only 15,000 United MileagePlus miles. I don’t see Gold Tickets for sale, but Resy was selling Silver Tickets that look to include the same list as above for $1,495 per person. That’s a heck of a redemption. At the time this article was written, there were 24 tickets remaining (they are limited to four per account).
Los Angeles
71Above (633 West 5th Street, 71st Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90071) is also hosting a NYE party. From the MileagePlus Exclusives site: “71Above boasts breathtaking ocean views of Malibu to Laguna Hills, Los Angeles and the surrounding mountain ranges. Seasonal menus coupled with 360 panoramic views from 1000 feet above ground create an unparalleled dining experience.”

Anthony’s Take: If you don’t have plans for New Year’s Eve and can get to NYC or LA, you won’t find a better value. At 15,000 per ticket (and with a cash cost of $1,495), this is a great deal and one that I can’t believe is still available.
