I’ve written about Bilt Rewards before and why I got the Bilt Mastercard® to pay my rent while I live in Tampa this winter. Bilt Rewards points are a valuable, transferrable currency. They currently partner with the following airline loyalty programs:

  • Air Canada (Aeroplan)
  • Air France/KLM (Flying Blue)
  • American Airlines (AAdvantage)
  • Cathay Pacific (Asia Miles)
  • Emirates (Skywards)
  • Hawaiian Airlines (HawaiianMiles)
  • United Airlines (MileagePlus)
  • Virgin Atlantic (Virgin Points)

With the latest update to the Bilt Rewards app, you can now search award travel right in the app through an integration with Point.me. This is a nice addition to the program and one that gives members free access to something that normally costs $5 for a day pass, $12 per month, or $129 per year for a subscription.

In the app, click Travel. Choose Flights. Select Transfer Partners and then enter the flight details that you wish to search.

I chose to search New York City (NYC – All Airports) to Paris (CDG – Charles de Gaulle International Airport)

The search took around two minutes, but returned a lot of results.

Bilt will show you the cheapest option, but will also show you other ways to book a flight in case you have a preferred program. In this case, it recommended booking SWISS flights through Aeroplan for 70,000 points, but also showed a United option at 80,500 points.

The search function is incredibly easy and I love that I can see all options across partners at a glance. One thing to note is that your searches are limited to Bilt’s transfer partners, so you won’t see Delta or Lufthansa as choices.

Anthony’s Take: It’s great that Bilt continues to add value to its Rewards. The ability to earn points paying rent and then have a highly valuable, transferrable currency makes Bilt Rewards points a great currency to earn.
