Malaysia Airlines will add flights between Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL) to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) in March. The carrier has not flown between these cities in more than a decade.

On March 22nd, Malaysia Airlines will begin flying the route 4x weekly using an Airbus A350-900 aircraft with four Business Suites, 35 Business Class, 27 Economy With Extra Legroom, and 220 Economy Class seats. The route will shift to daily service on March 29th. Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, Group Managing Director of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), said:

Our expansion into Europe marks a significant milestone for Malaysia Airlines. With the arrival of additional widebody aircraft starting this Quarter 4, we are ready to bring this long-awaited city back into our network. While the European market is highly competitive, we see tremendous potential for this route to attract key travelers, not just from Malaysia but also from neighboring regions.

By launching direct services from Kuala Lumpur to Paris, we reaffirm our position as the flagship airline and strengthen our role as the gateway to Asia and beyond. This route will be served by our state-of-the-art A350-900 aircraft, which already operates on key routes like London and Doha, delivering a world-class travel experience to our passengers.”

Malaysia Airlines 1

This will be the 68th destination flown by Malaysia Airlines and the first one in Europe served in years aside from London Heathrow Airport (LHR). In the past, Malaysia flew to Brussels Airport (BRU), Frankfurt Airport (FRA), Munich Airport Franz Josef Strauss (MUC), Vienna Airport (VIE), and Zagreb Franjo Tuđman Airport (ZAG).

Anthony’s Take: I’ve never flown Malaysia Airlines. It’s a member of oneworld® alliance and I’d like to check out Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur specifically) one day.
