After visiting the Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club (full review here), we went to meet some friends in the United Club℠ before heading home to Chicago. This is one of the nicest lounges in United’s network and it was refreshed a few years ago. When we visited it was crowded, but we were able to find a table for the four of us.

United Club BOS Check In

Access

Access is granted for those with United Club℠ memberships, day passes from Chase co-branded credit cards or purchased for $59, Global Services® members, United passengers with Gold or higher status traveling internationally, international business or first-class passengers traveling on a Star Alliance flight, and Star Alliance Gold members regardless of class flown. You can find more information about these lounges and their access rules here. The lounge is an elevator ride up and then directly into the lounge. When you enter, you need to check in at the huge desk that is located down the hall from the entrance.

Anthony’s Take: I have a United Club℠ membership and make it a point to stop by when I’m flying United. This has long been one of my favorites. It’s spacious, well designed, and has upgraded food and beverage offerings compared to many of the others in United’s network (grab some clam chowder).

United Club BOS Bar

Bar

The bar lines almost the entire side wall near the windows. There is a small variety of paid and complimentary beer, wine, and spirits here. The free offerings are pretty basic, but the paid selections are not too badly priced.

United Club BOS Water

Self-serve water was at the end of the bar.

United Club BOS Coffee Machine

A coffee machine is located at the end of the bar. It was not fully operational during my visit.

United Club BOS Drip Coffee

Drip coffee is found in carafes on the smaller buffet near the bar.

United Club BOS Buffet

Food

The food in most United Clubs℠ is lacking compared to Delta’s Sky Clubs® or the American Express Centurion Lounges. This lounge is one of the better ones in the United network in terms of offerings and I like that it adds dishes with a local flair. I visited during dinner and the buffet had clam chowder, lobster mac & cheese, some sandwiches, taco ingredients, chips & salsa, lo mein, cheese, salad ingredients, some desserts, snacks, and fruit.

United Club BOS Clam Chowder

The clam chowder was the highlight for me. I can’t get enough of this soup when in New England or Seattle.

United Club BOS Mac & Cheese

Additional seating is available throughout the lounge.

Overall Impression:

This United Club℠ is spacious, well designed, and has better food offerings than most others in United’s lounge network.
