We flew from Luxembourg Airport (LUX) to Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) on Luxair yesterday (review here). It was a nice flight and before we departed, we had some time to check out The Lounge by Luxair. We had a good breakfast and for most of our visit were close to the only passengers there.

The lounge is found past security and down a hallway before you head down to the gate area, which is located one floor below.

A desk is located immediately inside the entrance with an agent to verify boarding passes and admittance.

I liked that there were orchids in the the lobby.

Access

Access is granted to passengers traveling in Business Class on a complimentary basis (this includes Luxair as well as Lufthansa and SWISS). Lounge access can be purchased by passengers holding a FLEX ticket (35€) or SMART ticket (45€).
Reduced entry (20€) for children on Smart or Flex fares.

Anthony’s Take: The Lounge by Luxair is the only lounge in the airport. It provides speedy Wi-Fi and a decent breakfast spread as well as plenty of space to spread out and work or relax before a flight.

Bar

All beverages in the lounge were self serve and there was not a true bar here. There are cases with soft drinks as well as several liquor and wine options.

There is a collection of Luxair-inspired art on the wall near reception. I loved the lions.

Overall Impression:

The Lounge by Luxair was comfortable, bright, and offered us a nice space and decent breakfast. If you have access when traveling through, make time for a stop.
