I was in Nashville International Airport (BNA) for a conference this week and had a chance to check out the Sky Club®. This location is gorgeous, spacious and has joined the list of my favorites in Delta’s lounge network. Nashville doesn’t have a dominant carrier. Statista research shows that American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and Delta Air Lines all hold around 17% of flights (with United Airlines just slightly behind at 16%). The airport has an Admirals Club and this Sky Club®. United does not operate a United Club℠ here.
Access
There are several kiosks and an agent to check in guests. Access is granted to passengers with memberships (purchased annually), one-time pass holders (earned from the co-branded American Express cards), Delta One®, SkyTeam premium cabin passengers, SkyTeam Elite Plus when flying internationally in premium cabins, the Centurion® and the Platinum Card® from American Express holders, Delta SkyMiles® Reserve American Express Card holders, WestJet business class passengers, and WestJet Rewards Platinum and Gold Elite. Allowed guests vary by access type. A same-day boarding pass is required to enter the Delta Sky Club®.
Anthony’s Take: This Sky Club® is beautiful. It has huge windows for natural light, lots of Nashville-specific art, a great buffet, and plenty of space. I don’t get to Nashville often, but will definitely make a point of stopping by when I do come to town.
Bar
The bar fills the right-hand side of the lounge. It offers all of the standard spirits, wine, and beer that Delta provides complimentary as well as some premium options for purchase.
One wall of the bar was taken up by a huge wine fridge. I don’t think I’ve seen this elsewhere.
Non-alcoholic beverages were found near the buffet and further along the side wall.
A soda fountain was available for guest use (with my fave, ginger ale).
Iced tea and a Bevi machine were also found here.
There is also a coffee machine near the soda fountain.
Drip coffee is offered from dispensers mounted on the wall.
Food
Lunch was being served during my visit. The buffet has several hot dishes, sandwiches, salad ingredients, breads, soups, snacks, dessert, and more.
Homestyle Meatloaf
Scalloped Potatoes
Roasted Broccoli
Sandwiches
Salad ingredients
Charcuterie, Chickpea Hummus, and pretzel bites
Homestyle Garden Vegetable and Tomato Basil Bisque
Various breads
Snacks
Classic Chocolate Mousse and various cookies
Seating & Decor
There is a ton of seating in this Sky Club®. A mix of tables, high tops, and desks around the room with lots of natural light offers space for everyone. I loved all of the art in this lounge. It gives a sense of place and is fun.
I appreciated the individual desks for working. There are also two phone booths.
A separate TV room is found near the front.
A VIP room is also found here.
More comfy seating.
Even more seating configurations.
Various Nashville icons (including my fave, Dolly).
A cool sculpture with a popcorn skirt
More great art.
Amenities
This Sky Club® offers free Wi-Fi, restrooms, magazines, a printer, and the food and beverages mentioned above.
A printer was found in the back corner of the lounge.
Overall Impression:
This Delta Sky Club® at BNA is the perfect size for this outstation and offers a bright, comfortable space to work or relax.
Anthony’s Credit Card Pick: I love the lounges where The Platinum Card® from American Express grants me access. It has had a prominent place in my wallet for many years now. While it does have an annual fee of $695, it provides many travel benefits and will always be my go-to for lounge access (both Delta Sky Clubs® and Centurion Lounges) and booking airfare from the airlines to earn 5x points (up to $500,000 per calendar year).
