Chase just opened its most recent Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) on February 20th. This space is only two weeks old and it’s a great lounge with all of the food, drinks, and amenities you could want when departing or passing through Philadelphia.
The lounge is accessed through an elevator or via stairs down the hall.
Access
Access is granted to those with a Priority Pass membership gained through carrying the Chase Sapphire Reserve® (cardholders can also bring two guests). If you hold the Chase Sapphire Reserve®, you can enter an unlimited number of times, but if you have a Priority Pass membership from holding any other card, you’re limited to one visit per year (subsequent visits will be charged).
Anthony’s Take: Chase entered the lounge game back in June 2023 at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) (my reviews are here and here). The credit card issuer has created spaces that are sleek, stylish, and nice to relax and work in at airports around the country. The location at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) had plenty of space (more than 20,000 square feet), tasty food, great amenities, and incredible design. I hope to return soon.
There is a desk to check credentials as soon as you exit the elevator or stairs.
Bar
A bar is located in the back of the lounge behind the check-in desk. It offers all of the standard spirits, wine, and beer as well as a nice cocktail menu.
The cocktail menu offers an interesting mix of drinks.
These could be ordered to any table through the QR codes.
There was also small selection of wine and that could be ordered via QR code.
Beverage stations are located around the lounge. One is to the left of the entrance. A coffee machine and drip coffee were found here along with condiments and tea.
Water and cold brew dispensers were located next to the coffee. I’m not sure what spa water is exactly.
A refrigerated case below held canned soft drinks.
A beer garden is located to the right of the entrance.
Juice and more canned beverages were near the buffet.
This beverage station also held the same coffee selection and condiments as the other one.
Food
Breakfast was being served when I first arrived and this switched over to lunch/dinner shortly after I sat down. The buffet has several small plates and desserts. Other dishes can be ordered a la carte from the QR codes found on tables. I was stuffed from breakfast and did not try anything, but all of the food looked good.
Banana SunButter Grain-Free Griddle Cake
Indian Spiced Tofu Scramble
French Toast
Southwest Potato Hash
Biscuits and Gravy
Fruit Salad
Beet Smoothie and Chia Seed Pudding
Salmon Quinoa Bowl
Hummus and Sweet Pepper Toast
Pressed Cheese
Truffled Chicken
Philly Fluff Cake
Whipped Feta Cheese with Pita
A separate table held breakfast pastries.
These were later replaced with Mini Chocolate Bites and Cinnamon Rice Krispies Treats.
Biscotti and fresh fruit were found on another counter.
A menu of made-to-order dishes can be accessed with a QR code on every table. The breakfast menu is above.
Seating & Decor
I really like the design of this lounge. Like other Chase lounges I have been to, it’s sophisticated and sexy. Chase and The Club get points for the way it is laid out and the finishings that were chosen.
The Sapphire Lounge by The Club in Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is divided into many rooms. The area behind the check-in desk has tables and a bar nearby.
A room to the left of the entrance had this beautiful fireplace.
The other side of this room held a large conference table.
A room on the right was filled with games and TVs. Nintendo Switch game consoles are connected to let guests play games like Mario Kart Deluxe and NBA 2K25.
There were tons of tables for dining throughout.
The area near the children’s playroom had this cool tree (while it’s not as impressive as the one in the Centurion® Lounge by American Express in Atlanta, it added a pop of life).
Another room near the wellness area held this gorgeous furniture.
Chairs were tucked into every corner.
This counter was in the beer garden.
I liked these lights on the ceiling in one of the rooms.
Amenities
The Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club offers free Wi-Fi, departure boards (pictured above), restrooms, showers, a wellness room, a private nursing suite, lots of games throughout, the beer garden, and the food and beverages listed above.
There are games in the beer garden and across the hall.
Multiple sports games were playing in the beer garden.
It’s nice when lounges offer children’s playrooms to keep them isolated and quiet.
Wi-Fi worked well throughout the lounge.
The shower suites are pretty spacious and luxurious.
They offered a good number of amenities including Apotheke toiletries and Dyson hair dryers.
The wellness room was quiet. It included six private meditation and rest pods as well as space where treatments were offered. Facials from Face Haus could be booked here.
Overall Impression:
What a beautiful lounge and a great addition to Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). The space was gorgeous and packed with amenities, food, drinks, and everything you’ll need for a great departure or to spend time waiting for a connection.
