I’ve carried the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card since it was launched in 2009. For just a few more days, Chase is offering a 60,000 point welcome bonus plus up to $300 in Chase Travel℠ credits after spending $4,000 on qualifying purchases in the first three months after opening the account. That’s up to $1,050 in Chase Travel value ($750 when redeemed through Chase Travel and you get up to $300 in statement credits on Chase Travel purchases within your first year).

In addition to the welcome bonus this card offers the following great benefits:

  • 5x on travel purchased through Chase Travel℠
  • 5x points on Lyft purchases (through March 31, 2025)
  • 3x on dining, select streaming services, and online grocery purchases (excluding Target, Walmart, and wholesale clubs)
  • 2x on all other travel purchases
  • Cardholders receive a $50 annual Chase Travel Hotel Credit
  • 10% anniversary point bonus. You receive an extra 10% on all purchases made during the year. For example: $10,000 spent would receive an additional 1,000 points.
  • No foreign transaction fees.
  • Lots of travel coverage including: Auto Rental Collision Damage Waiver, Trip Delay Insurance, Trip Cancellation and Interruption Insurance, Baggage Delay Insurance, and Travel Accident Insurance.
  • Tons of great transfer partners including Aer Lingus, Air Canada, Air France-KLM, British Airways, Emirates, Iberia, JetBlue, Singapore Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, as well as Hyatt, IHG, and Marriott.
  • Through December 31, 2027, the card offers a DoorDash DashPass subscription. DoorDash DashPass provides unlimited deliveries with no delivery fee and reduced service fees for orders $12 and more.

Anthony’s Take: If I didn’t already have this card, I would definitely be applying for it now. The welcome bonus and all of the benefits above are great for travelers or anyone looking to earn flexible Chase Ultimate Rewards® points.
