Hyatt and Lindner Hotels & Resorts announced a new partnership in October 2022. Under the agreement, Hyatt added more than 30 hotels to its portfolio of offerings with many of these being rebranded under the JdV by Hyatt brand. The family-owned hotel chain is based in Germany with 34 hotels across seven European countries. The agreement expands Hyatt’s brand footprint in 13 new markets including Kiel, Speyer, Leipzig, and Ulm. Today, Hyatt announced today the acquisition of six of the me and all hotels brand from Lindner Hotels to further build out its presence in Europe.

With this deal, me and all hotels will become a standalone brand within Hyatt’s portfolio (and another one to try for its Brand Explorer promo (where you can earn a free night for every five brands tried). The new brand has quintupled in rooms between 2017 and the end of 2023.

Felicity Black-Roberts, SVP of Development EAME at Hyatt, said:

The Lindner team has built an incredible brand with me and all hotels, and we believe the brand has great potential for expansion across Europe and other global markets. Our collaboration with Lindner was a significant step forward for our distribution in the EAME region, expanding our brand footprint and offering many new locations to our 46 million World of Hyatt members. We look forward to driving further growth for Hyatt’s lifestyle portfolio with me and all hotels – together with Lindner as well as other development partners and franchisees, across Europe and beyond.”

me and all hotels offer central locations, urban design, leading-edge technology, and vibrant public spaces. They appeal to city and business travelers as well as urban locals. Local businesses focused on gastronomy, music, art, and start-ups provide new experiences like pop-up kitchens, product demos, and more.

There are six me and all hotels locations in Germany. These include:

  • Duesseldorf
  • Duesseldorf-Oberkassel
  • Mainz
  • Hanover
  • Kiel
  • Ulm

With the close of this deal today, Hyatt moved these hotels out of the JdV by Hyatt brand and it looks to further expand the footprint with new locations planned in Berlin and elsewhere within the next few years.

Anthony’s Take: I often stay in European cities and am always open to new options under the World of Hyatt program. Some of these hotels look cool and they definitely provide options in Germany.
