Frontier Airlines is expanding its network with four new routes set to debut early next year. This will enhance low-cost travel options for passengers in New Jersey, Florida, Illinois, Utah, and Arizona. The carrier is taking on American, Delta, and United with the route introductions.

Beginning January 21st, Frontier will introduce 3x weekly flights between Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) and Orlando International Airport (MCO). The following day, the airline will launch 2x weekly flights between Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC) and Tucson International Airport (TUS).

In February, two more routes will join the schedule. On February 13th, Frontier will begin linking Miami International Airport (MIA) with Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) and will also introduce nonstop flights between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Pensacola International Airport (PNS).

To celebrate the expansion, Frontier is rolling out promotional fares starting at $29. Josh Flyr, Vice President of Network and Operations Design at Frontier Airlines, said:

These new routes will offer consumers more affordable connections across the United States beginning in early 2026. With our ultra-low fares and our enhanced customer experience, along with growth in top metro areas across the United States, we look forward to showing travelers why The New Frontier is quickly becoming America’s Low Fare Airline.”

Frontier Airlines has rolled out upgrades to its product and customer experience as part of its initiative known as “The New Frontier.” Highlights include the introduction of UpFront Plus seating, which offer extra legroom in the first two rows along with a guaranteed empty middle seat. The airline has also added unlimited companion travel for top-tier customers. Beginning in early 2026, Frontier will debut First Class seating.

Frontier is also enhancing its FRONTIER Miles program, which lets members earn rewards faster with a simple structure of 10x miles per $1 spent and higher multipliers for elite tiers. Elite status begins at just 10,000 miles and includes priority boarding, complimentary seat selection, and baggage benefits. Elite members can also pool miles with family, which makes it easier to redeem rewards together.

Anthony’s Take: Look for American, Delta, and United to match fares and have a little war around these new routes. It’s good for passengers when Frontier enters a market or adds a route as the price pressure does show up.
