Frontier Airlines is the latest carrier to smell blood in the water and go after members of Southwest’s Rapid Rewards® program. Delta began offering status matches last month and JetBlue quickly joined in. Now, Frontier is offering its mid-tier Elite Gold status for just $40. While Delta and JetBlue targeted elite members, the Frontier promo is open to all Rapid Rewards® members.

Frontier already offers the best value in the sky, and now consumers looking for their new airline of choice can enjoy even more benefits as they plan their 2025 travel. We love rewarding our most loyal customers with perks that make traveling even more comfortable and seamless, and can’t wait for new FRONTIER Miles Elite Gold members to begin enjoying a free carry-on bag, priority boarding and more right away.”

Anthony’s Take: If you’re a disgruntled Southwest flyer or just want cheap and easy access to Frontier’s Elite Gold status, now is the time for that match.
