Frontier Airlines Expands New Orleans Service for Mardi Gras 2026 with 12 New Routes

Frontier Airlines is turning up the celebration for Mardi Gras 2026, making it easier and more affordable than ever to reach New Orleans during one of the country’s most iconic festivals. The ultra-low-cost carrier announced the launch of 12 new nonstop routes and increased service on several existing routes to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY).

Running from February 12th to 22nd, Frontier’s expanded schedule will connect travelers from 22 cities across the United States directly to New Orleans. The airline’s enhanced Mardi Gras network is designed to bring visitors closer to the parades, music, and energy that define the city’s most famous celebration.

Newly added (limited-time) routes to/from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY), include:

  • Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) (3x weekly; starts on February 13th)
  • Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) (3x weekly; starts on February 12th)
  • Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) (1x daily;  starts on February 12th)
  • Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG) (2x weekly; starts on February 13th)
  • Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) (1x daily;  starts on February 12th)
  • Miami International Airport (MIA) (3x weekly; starts on February 13th)
  • Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) (3x weekly; starts on February 12th)
  • New York John F Kennedy International Airport (JFK) (4x weekly; starts on February 12th)
  • New York LaGuardia Airport (LGA) (3x weekly; starts on February 13th)
  • Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) (3x weekly; starts on February 13th)
  • Tampa International Airport (TPA) (2x weekly; starts on February 13th)
  • Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) (2x weekly; starts on February 13th)

Frontier will also increase service on the following routes between February 12th and 22nd:

  • Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) (increases to 2x daily)
  • Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) (increases to 3x weekly)
  • Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) (increases to 3x weekly)
  • Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) (increases to 1x daily)
  • Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW) (increases to 2x daily)
  • Denver International Airport (DEN) (increases to 2x daily)
  • Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) (increases to 1x daily)
  • Orlando International Airport (MCO) (increases to 1x daily)
  • Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) (increases to 1x daily)
  • Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) (increases to 3x weekly)

Anthony’s Take: Frontier is bringing it for Mardi Gras 2026. This has to be the largest schedule of any carrier to the Big Easy during this time.
