Frontier Airlines operates as an ultra-low-cost carrier focused on offering budget-friendly fares. The airline says the new routes will provide more direct connections between major metropolitan areas and popular leisure destinations while maintaining competitive pricing. The new flights are scheduled to launch just ahead of the summer travel season to give travelers additional options for domestic trips across Frontier’s ever-evolving network.

With service to John Wayne Airport (SNA) in Santa Ana, Frontier will offer nonstop flights from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to five cities in California. The route will compete directly with American Airlines. Frontier’s new service between Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) will face competition from American Airlines, Spirit Airlines, and United Airlines.
The Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to/from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) will see competition from United Airlines. The flights between Las Vegas Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) and Nashville International Airport (BNA) will go head to head with Delta Air Lines, Southwest Airlines, and Spirit Airlines.
Josh Flyr, Vice President of Network and Operations Design at Frontier Airlines, said:
We are very pleased to announce these new routes, offering more low-cost service across the US just in time for the summer travel season. With this new service, consumers will enjoy Frontier’s signature convenience and affordability as they travel to California, Texas, Tennessee, Washington, DC, or any of the other exciting destinations served by America’s Low Fare Airline.”
Anthony’s Take: Frontier is constantly tweaking its schedule. The latest flights are all on routes where there is already competition. This will hopefully bring some price pressure and lower fares.
