With these launches, Frontier is on pace to exceed 1,000 daily flights by 2026. This is driven by its growing fleet of fuel-efficient Airbus aircraft. The planes and new routes are not the only thing that Frontier is touting. For the past year, it has been redefining its business with enhanced travel experiences that offer more comfort, more rewards, and more choices. This includes:

  • UpFront Plus Seating: Already available, these first two rows of the aircraft offer extra legroom, elbow space, and a guaranteed aisle or window seat.
  • First Class (Debuting Late 2025): For the first time, Frontier will introduce a First Class cabin.

FRONTIER Miles continues to evolve and Frontier is rolling out new benefits. This is especially true for its cardmembers. The most valuable benefit cones in the form of Companion Travel Certificates (earned through purchases on the FRONTIER Airlines World Mastercard®). These are earned as follows:

  • 1st certificate at $3,000 spend
  • 2nd certificate at $10,000 spend
  • 3rd certificate at $20,000 spend
  • Unlimited companion travel at $50,000 spend

These certificates complement existing cardmember perks, including:

  • A 50,000-mile welcome bonus after just $500 in purchases
  • The ability to earn Elite Status and miles with every dollar spent
  • Access to exclusive low fares and promotional offers

Barry Biffle, CEO of Frontier Airlines, said:

Frontier is not just about delivering low fares – we’ve made major enhancements, from product upgrades to the most rewarding loyalty program, and investments in technology and service, as part of The New Frontier. That’s why Frontier is America’s Low Fare Airline, delivering the best value every day – and we see a clear path to being the number one low-fare carrier in the top 20 U.S. metros. As industry capacity adjusts, we want to ensure consumers in those markets continue to have affordable flight options.”

Anthony’s Take: Frontier continues to add routes and challenge American, Delta, and United in their hubs. Spirit Airlines will face the most pressure as 19 of the 20 routes are currently flown by the ailing carrier. We’ll see how these routes fare, but the price pressure will be felt and matched in many cases.
