French bee is a low-cost airline that was founded in 2016 and is based at Paris Orly Airport (ORY). It flies a fleet of Airbus A350-900 and A350-1000 aircraft to leisure destinations around the world. The airline announced today that it’s beginning service to Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) on April 30th.

Flights between Paris Orly Airport (ORY) and Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) will run 4x weekly on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays using Airbus A350-900 aircraft. These offer 35 Premium and 376 Economy Class seats. From July 4th to August 31st, a fifth flight will be added to accommodate increased summer travel demand.

Gregory Jamet, Executive Vice President RMPP at French bee, said:

With the opening of this new Montreal destination, French bee continues to expand its international network, increasing its number of long-haul destinations from 6 to 7 in response to high demand for business and leisure travel throughout the year. This new route will enable French bee to strengthen its local partnerships and facilitate exchanges between Canada and France.  The introduction of the Airbus A350 reflects our commitment to offering an environmentally-friendly experience, while meeting travelers’ expectations in terms of comfort and accessibility. We look forward to welcoming Quebec passengers as early as April 30, 2025.”

French bee currently serves the following destinations from Paris Orly Airport (ORY):

  • Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)
  • Miami International Airport (MIA)
  • Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR)
  • Papeete’s Faa’a International Airport (PPT) with a technical stop at San Francisco International Airport (SFO)
  • Roland Garros Airport (RUN)
  • San Francisco International Airport (SFO)

As a low-cost carrier, everything is sold on an individual, add-on basis. This includes checked baggage, sports equipment, seats with a view or with extra leg room, priority boarding, meals, and travel kits. The Premium cabin is arranged seven across in a 2-3-2 configuration. The Economy Class cabin is 10 across in a 3-4-3 configuration.

Anthony’s Take: I first saw a French bee plane in Tahiti and have always been intrigued by the airline. Fares are quite inexpensive and I love that the carrier continues to expand to more destinations.

I flew French Bee premium economy two days ago from Papeete to San Francisco. The aircraft continued on to Paris Orly, their base, which is closer to the city than Charles de Gaulle airport.

Premium economy: Comfortable seat. Service and food, wines and liquors far exceeded my expectations. Good entertainment. Quiet clean Airbus 350. Price when compared to major carriers was awesome.

Economy: take a long hard look at their seat pitch and width. The fares are low, so to be a commercial success, something has to give. But then the fares are very low!
