I’m writing this post while in flight from Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) to Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). This is the first flight I have taken with United Express that has Starlink installed for an incredible Wi-Fi experience. I was able to connect at the gate and have had smooth sailing since logging on. United unveiled its plans to add Starlink to its regional jets back in March. Since then it has gotten approval for mainline and started that rollout as well. When all is said and done, Starlink will be installed on around 1,000 aircraft.

There is not much else to say other than the experience was seamless. Here are the steps to getting online once you log in with United MileagePlus®.

I like that United warns people not to make voice or video calls and to use headphones.

I was online in seconds and able to download photos and watch videos with no latency.

Anthony’s Take: Starlink is a game changer and I can’t wait until every United flight has it installed. I spent years complaining about United’s Wi-Fi, but if every flight is like this one I will never say a word again.
