A passenger was denied boarding for being intoxicated at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). She was scheduled to fly to Columbia Metropolitan Airport (CAE), but after appearing inebriated was not allowed (even after appealing to the captain). She then melted down and started using her phone as a weapon. In the process, she assaulted a trio of gate agents working the flight at Gate C39.

When police arrived, the three gate agents explained what happened and indicated that they would like to press charges. The woman breaks down and tearfully tries to garner sympathy with the authorities. Once she realizes that she is not going to be able to talk her way out of the situation, she breaks down, resists arrest, and needs to be tackled by police.

This woman became more difficult once the cuffs went on and police ended up needing to carry her out of the airport once she was under arrest.

Anthony’s Take: I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: over-imbibing at the airport or on a plane never leads to a good outcome. It’s amazing how terribly people act and lash out at the poor gate agents that are just trying to do their jobs.

There are times when using a taser is warranted. This sure seems like one of them.
