Seven passengers and a crew member onboard the Airbus A320 were injured as a result.
JetBlue flight B61256 “experienced sudden severe turbulence as it neared Florida,” according to a statement that the Associated Press reported on. It is unclear whether these eight people were wearing their seatbelts at the time. They were taken by Broward County Fire-Rescue upon arrival to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.
